4-Week Sensory Program for students aged 4-7 years old. Each lesson is themed for students to explore their senses, challenge themselves, and interact socially with peers to start to make more connections within their continually developing nervous system. The aim of the program is to use sensory play, along with movement, fine and gross motor- based skills, like balance challenges and coordination that will be used to enhance their sensory and emotional regulation.
Classes range from sensory play to gross motor focused, most being a combination of both. Sandra integrates activities that engage children through a sensory experience, where they have plenty of opportunity to develop and use their fine motor skills in very fun and therapeutic ways.
Some classes are more geared towards movement and gross motor based skills, usually challenging their balance, coordination all focused towards helping with sensory regulation.
During all phases of development it is vital for children to move their bodies in a variety of ways, as they explore and learn jall they can do! Sandra's classes are a stimulating experience for kids to explore their senses, to challenge themselves, as well as interact socially with peers and start to make more connections within their continually evolving minds and bodies. Sandra loves to connect with parents and support education in the areas of gross and fine motor development, as well as sensory play for self- regulation.
Some classes are more focused on the development and enhancement of a child's gross motor skills that will challenge their balance and coordination.
Our sensory classes are all focused toward helping children with their sensory regulation skills by stimulating their developing nervous system. Parents are always welcomed to be involved in learning what their child enjoys and needs during different emotional experiences.
